Concept o4 Winter Intensive with Natasha Adorlee & Guests

In Cooperation with City Ballet SF

DATES:
Monday, January 6 - Friday, January 10, 2025

ABOUT THE INTENSIVE:
Work alongside Natasha Adorlee and guest artists in a safe, inclusive space designed to nurture your artistic growth and prepare you for auditions and the professional studio setting. This winter intensive will take your contemporary training to the next level with a focus on technical refinement, repertory, dance on camera, and partnering or composition.

AGES:
Open to dancers ages 14-Adult. Dancers aged 12-13 may be considered for participation through an additional screening process to ensure readiness for the program’s rigorous and immersive curriculum.

MOCK DAILY SCHEDULE:

  • 10:00-11:30 AM: Daily Technique (Contemporary Ballet or Contemporary)

  • 11:35 AM-1:00 PM: Repertory (including filming)

  • 1:45-3:00 PM: Dance on Camera

  • 3:00-4:00 PM: Partnering or Composition

TUITION:
$600 (Does not include lodging, travel, or additional meals)
Payment is due in full by December 31, 2024, to secure your spot.

HOUSING:
We have partnered with Monroe SF to provide housing options, with rates starting at $270 for the week, which includes two meals daily. Travel is not included in this rate. Information about Monroe can be found Here. Email reservations@monroeresidenceclub.com to reserve housing. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINES:
Registration is open now and closes December 30, 2024. The workshop is capped at 20 participants to ensure an intimate and personalized experience. Register today to secure your spot. 

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Submit a one-page statement detailing why you want to participate in the workshop and what you are interested in exploring during this intensive. Please share one video of yourself dancing.

Our professional company, the second company (comprised of KCB II and Trainees), professional dance school, and many community programs, seek to nurture and develop our artists, audiences, and students in the values inherent in the creativity, diversity, and joy of dance.

The Kansas City Ballet Community Engagement and Education Department reaches over 20,000 students and adults each year, and the Kansas City Ballet School provides dance training to over 2,000 students each year, at two locations.
