FILM WORK

  • Natasha is an incredibly gifted artist and a kind and committed leader. Her choreographic vision is amplified by her other areas of brilliance; in addition to being a dancer and choreographer, Natasha is a filmmaker and composer. These areas of expertise lends spice and a multi-dimensional perspective to her dance creations. Her work often feels cinematic and inventive in composition, staging, and musicality.

    Theresa Knudson, Ballet22

  • As we all know, contemporary ballet and modern dance need diverse, powerful female voices to cultivate a landscape with new approaches to form and storytelling; Natasha offers such a voice.... Simply put, Natasha is a gifted, female, first-generation Taiwanese-American artist worth investing in for the future of our field.

    Kate Weare, Guggenheim Fellow

  • Having Natasha’s presence at Joffrey Ballet was a very special experience for all our dancers and faculty. Her positive energy with her deep knowledge of different dance styles brought the best out of our dancers. Natasha always used her time wisely, came prepared, and show skills on not only choreographing but teaching and coaching as well. We were so lucky to have Natasha Adorlee here in Chicago and can’t wait to see her works more often with major companies all around the world.

    Oğulcan Borova, Joffrey Ballet

  • There is so much beauty in the unknown and taking stock of the micro shifts and changes, instead of just equating a good day with a huge accomplishment. My dream for the future is to be a part of the fabric of the global dance community and to continue to give and learn.

Dance Data Project Interview with Natasha Adorlee

  • Her leadership style is filled with compassion, and she leaned into her dancers' abilities-highlighting their best! Her lasting impact will be how she is able to relate to and nurture the next generation of artists. Passing down all her expertise with grace and passion. At the end of her process when she left, the dancers had energy, were inspired, and missed her. All signs of an epic choreographic process that I'm sure will leave us all impacted for quite some time. Natasha is a gift.

    Katlin Bourgeois, Joffrey Ballet

  • I have not met a more dedicated and harder worker than Natasha, and coupling that with her skills as a choreographer makes her a gem in the industry.
