The Joy of Being with Another Person was originally commissioned for the Welcome to Earth Festival, a private gathering in Portola Valley.

The work is about the synchronicity, joy, despair, and work it takes to be in the company of another person and having your own nature reflected back at you through their eyes. Created in collaboration with Dalmacio Payomo, the work was remounted for The SF War Memorial Room in 2018.
