2024 so far….
Whew! Where to start. I am sitting here writing this as I have wrapped a season of giving and creating, and I’m beginning to stare down the rest of the year with determination and excitement.
Some Exciting Highlights:
Blooming Flowers and the Full Moon won an Isadora Duncan Dance Award for Performance.
I premiered a new immersive version of this work with Imagery in January, which was a work in progress but included a more extended version and 3-D Projection Mapping.
I created a new work with BalletX, entitled Got Soul, that was very well received by Philly audiences and featured live music by Jac Ross, a Grammy-nominated singer and producer.
I also created new works for Hedwig Dances, Kansas City Ballet, Converge, Institute of Contemporary Dance, and Oakland Ballet.
INTIMITÉ RÉVÉLÉE, which I created with Ballet22 and SFDFF, premiered in the Spring festival and recently won Best Ensemble Film at the Queer Dance Film Festival.
It’s been a blockbuster spring with even more exciting developments this Fall and new work on the way. Amid creating and sharing, I will also be doing more development and research on the intersection of technology and movement, creating more lanes of accessibility through this work.
Upcoming Projects This Fall:
You’ll be able to see my new dance/aerial work in preview, entitled PIT, and pop-up duets around San Francisco, called Friction.
We will be creating a new concept film in December, and development has already begun.
While there is more to share, some things I cannot release yet. Thank you for your support this year and for entrusting me with dance creations near and far. I cannot wait to keep building my community in San Francisco and sharing my vision on a national and international level.
